Committed is an a cappella singing group comprised of six educated, young, men who love creativity, music, and God. The group began in 2003 at Forest Lake Academy and solidified their sound while at school at Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL. Kranti is a co-ed Hindi a cappella group that fuses traditional and modern styles of Indian music with contemporary Western vocal styles. Barbershop music is a form of a cappella music that began in the 1930s. It is typically performed by a quartet of men with the following voice types: tenor, tenor, baritone, and bass. Women are also capable of singing barbershop music (women’s barbershop quartets are referred to as “Sweet Adelines” quartets).
